Why do we have to repeat the assessment every term?

Just think how many changes a teenager has to cope with between 11 and 18. Why would your responses to the STEER assessment stay the same when everything else is changing?

So each time you do the STEER assessment, we compare your responses to previous responses to help you and your teachers see how you are developing and changing. If we see a pattern emerging, or a sudden change, we alert your teachers so that they can give you a little extra signposting to get through a difficult situation or a tough time.

And remember, each assessment you complete adds to your data vault! So the more times you do the assessment, the more interesting it will be to see how you’ve changed throughout your teenage years! You’ll see your data vault when you're around 15 years old! Find out more here
