1️⃣ Check if you are able to load other webpages
The most common cause is simply poor wifi connection. Make sure you can reliably load non-steer webpages.
Sometimes, wifi issues can be intermittent, so you can also re-try after a short wait.
2️⃣ Are you using school internet?
These days, school networks have many additional security and safety systems. Occasionally, these can interfere with 3rd party applications like STEER.
If you think this is the case, let your IT department know and they will be able to look into it. It may not always show as the 'blocked' page you may be familiar with.
STEER provides IT departments with 'allow lists' for our URLs to avoid issues like this.
One way to check this, is to use another network, such as one at home, or by using 'hotspot' on your mobile phone.
3️⃣ Reach out to STEER
90% of the time, this issue is caused by network problems at school/home. However, we will help you in anyway we can. Hearing about network problems helps us refine our guidance to IT departments to keep things running smoothly for everyone.
