How to prepare for the STEER Assessment (IT Support)

There are two important steps to take to ensure that your first STEER assessments run smoothly.

💻  Test the STEER assessment

Testing the assessment is highly recommended to avoid any unexpected issues for students. We suggest replicating the student experience as closely as you can. You will need the following:

💻 A Device (ideally the same as your students will use and on the student network)

🎧 Headphones (If you are not sure you can provide these to student, then reach out to STEER and we can support you with a text version of the assessment)

How to test the assessment:

1️⃣  Go to the assessment tracker on the STEER platform and click on 'Test the Assessment'

2️⃣ Copy one of the test students' log in details

3️⃣ Log out of the platform (if you are already logged in). You may need to click the "not you?" button to be taken to the full login page.

Otherwise, go to our login page https://steer.global/platform/edu/new-login-view

4️⃣ Select "Student"  and login as a student

5️⃣  Take the assessment

It might seem a bit weird, but don't worry about that! Just sit through the audio and answer the questions randomly (none of the answers will be saved).
