How to select which year groups to import on the STEER platform

STEER now enables you to choose which year groups to import directly on our platform, removing the need to use Wonde access control.

Why is this a better approach?

We recommend removing those controls, because they need to be manually reset each year (otherwise the excluded students will continue to be excluded, despite the fact they are now in a different year group). By managing this directly on STEER, you choices will be remembered year on year, so your students can be imported automatically. You will only need update them if you change which years you are tracking.

How to select which year groups to import on the STEER platform

1️⃣  Go to the Data Management page on Admin

Only admin users can see the admin section.

2️⃣  Select "Import Settings" in your Wonde Auto-syncing controls

If you don't see this, then it could mean that your school doesn't actually use Wonde, in which case this article isn't relevant for you.

3️⃣  Tick the years you want to to import

4️⃣  Click through the other setting options and you are done!

From now on, we will totally ignore any student data outside of those year groups when we sync your data.
